PM/Scl-100 Antibody, IgG by Immunoblot - May be useful when evaluating for systemic sclerosis or connective tissue disease associated with overlapping features of systemic sclerosis and/or myositis.

Collect: One Gold-top SST tube.

Do not accept: Plain Red top tube..

 

Physician Office/Draw Specimen Preparation

Let specimen clot 30-60 minutes then centrifuge to separate serum from cells. Transfer serum to plastic transport tube and refrigerate (2-8°C or 36-46°F).

Let specimen clot 30-60 minutes then centrifuge to separate serum from cells. Transfer serum to plastic transport tube and refrigerate (2-8°C or 36-46°F).

Specimen Transport Temperature

Transport: 1.0 mL serum, refrigerated (2-8°C or 36-46°F). (Minimum: 0.3 mL)

Rejection Criteria

  • Hemolyzed specimen,
  • Grossly lipemic specimen.
  • Plasma contaminated specimen.
  • Red-top tube(no gel)
  • Specimens not collected and processed as indicated.
