Preferred Volume to Collect: Full tube

Minimum Volume to Collect: 2.0 mL

Neonate Volume to Collect: 1.0 mL gold

Capillary collect ok: Yes

Microtainer acceptable: Yes

Collection Instructions:

• Gently invert tube 8 - 10 times to mix clot activator with blood.
• Allow specimen to clot for 30 minutes
• Specimen should be processed within 2 hours – See Processing Instructions.
• Acceptable tube for Grand Rapids (CHRL West): Lavender EDTA (minimum vol: 2.0 mL)
