This test is not performed at Corewell Health Reference Laboratory West (Grand Rapids and surrounding suburbs, Grand Haven, Holland, and Muskegon) and cannot be couriered to another location from the Grand Rapids region.

As of May 1, 2006, Corewell Health Reference Laboratory West (Grand Rapids) discontinued performing Semen Analysis or Post Vasectomy Sperm Counts. These tests were discontinued due to low test request volumes, and decrease in expertise in performing these assays.

We are fortunate to have many urologic, reproductive, and in-vitro fertilization practices in the Grand Rapids area who perform this testing routinely. Please contact a site closest to your patient to find out availability, scheduling and collection information.
