Interface Order Alias

Clinical Information

Echovirus Antibody Panel - The current echovirus panel includes serotypes 4, 7, 9, 11, and 30. The echovirus serotypes used in this panel will vary depending upon current epidemiological data available from inhouse isolations CDC reports. Generally, the serotypes used are those most commonly associated with viral meningitis. Although there is cross-reactivity among the enteroviruses, most healthy people do not have detectable CF titers (>1:8). Therefore, detectable titers, especially those >1:32, should be considered diagnostic. Confirmed serodiagnosis is made by demonstration of a four-fold change in titers between acute and convalescent sera.
