Clinical Information
Oxidative Burst by Flow Cytometry uses DHR (Dihydrorhodamine 123) labeled neutrophils stimulated by PMA to detect CGD patients, carriers, and may suggest the genotype of the CGD patients by using the NOI (Neutrophil Oxidative Index).

Collect only Monday through Friday

Container(s): Lavender top (EDTA) or Green top (Sodium Heparin)
Preferred Volume to Collect: 3.0 mL
Minimum Volume to Collect: 1.0 mL
Neonate Volume to Collect: 0.5 mL
Capillary collect ok? No

Collection Instructions:
- Lavender top is preferred.
- After collection, gently invert tube 8-10 times.

Monday – Friday, usual TAT 2 days.
Test not available on weekends or holidays.

An interpretative report will be provided. Normal = NOI (Neutrophil Oxidative Index) ≥30
