Important Note

This test is limited to adult and pediatric patients at the Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) departments at Spectrum Health Medical Center (Grand Rapids).

This test must be scheduled with the Flow Cytometry department at least 24 hours in advance for testing to be performed on Saturday or Sunday. Please notify the Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL) at 616-486-6233 or the Laboratory Call Center at 616-774-7721.

Specimen Collection: Peripheral Blood

 

Container(s): Lavender top (EDTA)

Preferred Volume to Collect: 3.0 mL

Minimum Volume to Collect: 0.5 mL

Neonate Volume to Collect: 0.5 mL

  • After collection, gently invert tube 8-10 times.

  • Transport to laboratory as soon as possible
