Specimen Collection: Urine

Container(s): Plastic 24-hour urine jug, (White container preferred over orange)

Preferred Volume to Collect: Entire 24 Hour Collection

Minimum Volume to Collect: 10.0 mL

Collection Instructions:

• Starting and ending times of collection are required.

• Do not refrigerate specimen during collection, transport to the lab, or when received in lab. Specimen should remain room temperature/ambient.

• 10 mL of 5% NaOH may be added at the beginning of the collection.
